Staff Spotlight: Hurray for Kathy!
Mrs. Kathleen Lecuyer is our manager at the Wyalusing Pet CLinic. Her efficiency and caring are obvious at the Pet Clinic from the moment it opens doors until the last light is out. She began working with the animal hospital in 1994 and honestly I do not remember Kathy ever taking a sick day. Kathy is truely dedicated, and for that we are all very fortunate.
On a personal level she is truely dedicated to her "hobby" too, raising Dachshunds at Hillside Kennel. Kathy and her husband, Harold, started Hillside Kennel in 1985 where they raise miniature and standard Dachshunds of all coats and patterns. Kathy is quick to add that although these dogs are unusually patterned: dappled, green eyed, long and short coated...they breed specifically for health and temperment. If you are one of the fortunate folks to have one of their puppies, you become devoted to the breed, too. Kathy has always loved Dachshunds. Her uncle and Aunt had two (if one is good. two is better!). When she visited as a young girl the two Dachshunds would crawl in to bed and tickle her toes to wake her up in the morning. And so her love began. Harold shares this passion, and we are proud to take care of the Lecuyer family of dogs. They have four pets, although it is hard to separate the kennel dogs from the pets: Precious, Blaze, Speckles and Soccie (who looks like a little soccer ball). We look forward to meeting all her new adorable puppies.
THANK YOU KATHY
